Madison Memorial Girls Cross Country is a no-cut sport of distance running. Cross country races are run over varying terrain and topography - usually held at high schools, golf courses, and parks. All races are 5,000 meters in length (3.11 miles).
One of the great things about this sport is that everyone gets to participate in most of the races. As long as one follows all of the team rules, there are no cuts! Cross country combines the best features of team and individual sports. Cross country is a team sport, but every runner has her own individual goals. Times are less important in cross country than in track because every course is different. Everyone can and should be proud of a solid effort regardless of their statistical result.
As a member of this team, you will make memories that last a lifetime. You will have the opportunity to be a part of something big. Not only will you work yourself into the best shape of your life, you will have 100+ sisters alongside you every step of the way.
